Oh What a Week...

My mom came for a visit about a week and 1/2 ago. My house was spotless, laundry done, dinner made every night, it was wonderful. As you know we have all been sick a lot lately, and when my mom arrived the kids were just getting over their colds. We went and explored Missoula, Hamilton and the surrounding areas, going to lunch and boutiques. We had a blast! My mom is my best friend so of course I know how very blessed I am to have such a great mom and friend, we were all loving her company.
Then around 5 days into mom's visit she started to sneeze and get a runny nose and then the dreaded cough started. We all had this, so we thought it was just a cold. Fast forward to yesterday morning, mom was up all night vomiting and coughing and was in a lot of pain. So I called my Doctor's Office and got her in right away. She was diagnosed with a sinus infection and sent home with meds and cough syrup. Then this morning rolled around and she was absolutely miserable, shaking and shivering, coughing, and complaining about how horrible her head was making her feel. I went and got more meds and power aid this morning. I had a Dr. appointment myself this morning and when I got home, she was in even worse pain then when I left her. So I called the hospital and they told me to bring her in.
After blood work and a chest x-ray she is now spending the night in the hospital with Pneumonia. She is on antibiotics, fluids, pain meds, a breathing treat and oxygen. I can't even believe this happened. I feel awful, but also thankful that I was able to recognize that at that time and moment she needed to go to the hospital.
Of course, she comes for a visit and ends up in the hospital. "Poor grandma." Finley keeps saying.
Yes, indeed Miss Fin. Poor grandma! So they say she can come home tomorrow, but they want to keep her for 24 hrs to make sure she gets the rest and meds in her to get her well again.
So my week has been pretty busy. Hence the lack of blogging. Hopefully things will get a little more back to normal and I will have some time this weekend.
Please pray for my mama, that she gets better quickly and is able to spend her last days here visiting actually having fun again and not on the couch.

Oh, your poor Mama. How is she feeling now? My mama is one of my best friends, too, and I just adore when she visits. I can definitely relate to the fun you all had going to shops and chatting it up. I sure hope she is feeling better.

P.S. Every time I visit your blog I wish I lived in Montana. We honeymooned in Whitefish/Glacier and had a blast. I love our home in Indiana (b/c it's close to my mama and family/friends) but Montana would be an amazing place to live!
